Asia Small Business Federation Launched

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has taken a significant step in supporting small businesses by initiating the Asia Small Business Federation (ASBF) in Sri Lanka. The official launch took place on February 7, 2025, at BMICH Cinema from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, with the presence of esteemed industry leaders and global experts.
Key figures at the event included Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder and President of ASBF; Prof. Mosaddak Ahmed Chowdhury, ASBF President (2024-2026); and Mr. Rohan Somawansa, Principal Advisor of ASBF Sri Lanka. These leaders emphasized the critical role of small businesses in strengthening the national economy, calling for structured guidance and increased contributions to economic growth.
The ASBF initiative, powered by SLIM, aims to create a robust support system for small businesses through strategic development, training, and international collaboration. The event also highlighted the need for sustainable business models and innovation in small enterprises.
A representative from Revo Advertising, a Sri Lankan company dedicated to supporting small businesses, also attended the event, reinforcing the industry's commitment to fostering growth.
